Your prospects are the same way. They may not be taken in by your "Biggest Sale Ever Sale!" or "Hurry! This offer expires in the next ten minutes" advertising. It can make you appear unappealing. It can sound desperate.
Finding new customers can be a lot like finding a date for the prom. No one wants to go to the prom with someone who's desperate. Every now and then you've gotta play hard to get.
